Cologne:
Activities for Financial Support
Neighbourhood newspaper (regular participation 3 collaborators). Activities for financial support of the Ghana project: flea markets, asking adherents for support. For the flea markets different adherents have given things to sell and with 2 collaborators flea markets were done in September/October. Further we are busy to set up an association (until now 3 collaborators) to be able to do more support activities and include more sponsors.

CULTURE (Support Network)

The "Humanist Net" (support network for activities abroad and in the neighbourhood) was enlarged and went into the public with a sequence of events, like talks, discussions and seminars. One on the topic of "Dialogue of Cultures", refering on subjects of raciscm, violence, religions, etc., and the other on the topic of globalisation and world-economics. The events were strongly advertised in public city-maganzines and with posters.
The webpage of the humanist net will be put in the web in the beginning of december with the adress: www.humanist-net.org.

NON-VIOLENCE

Strong activities against the war in Afghanistan, violence and racism. A group of younger people joined a city-based network of organizations (Cologne Association against war and racism). They organised demonstrations, discussions, daily "mournings" (Mahnwachen) in the city center and published a lot of flyers, leaflets etc.
The group "Projekt X" will continue to work especially with young people on the topics of racism and non-violence.
